We know that Transformative Justice Reform calls for community leaders to improve systematic health and safety, support incarceration prevention, and address environmental issues.
Environmental Justice
We are committed to promoting environmental justice through policy development, advocacy, and organizing. We aim to address issues with the air conditioners in St. Clair and Madison Counties. We aim to develop resources that combat housing insecurity. We envision a co-op community thriving with resources, love, and collaborative efforts to create a more peaceful, healthy space to bloom.
Restorative Justice
At United Congregations of Metro-East, we believe in the power of Restorative Justice to transform individuals and communities. We are committed to promoting a more just and peaceful society by addressing the root causes of harm and creating opportunities for healing and reconciliation. Our community-driven approach empowers people to take responsibility for their actions and to repair the harm they have caused, while also working to prevent future harm.
Criminal Justice Reform
As an organization committed to social justice, United Congregations of Metro East is dedicated to reforming the criminal justice system. We believe that everyone deserves to be treated with fairness and respect, regardless of their background. We work with policymakers and community leaders to advocate for reforms that promote restorative justice and repair harm caused by the justice system. Join us in our mission to create a more just world.
Ending Racism
At United Congregations of Metro East, we are dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds and beliefs, as we work together to achieve our mission to end racism. We believe that it's important to promote unity and social justice, and we strive to create meaningful connections with our community through various initiatives and outreach programs. Join us in our mission to spread peace, hope, and love throughout the world.
